Answer: Lion

L + ION = LION. Lions live in groups of 6-30 members called prides. The males spend most of the day sleeping; their main duty is to protect the pride from intruding lions. The females hunt for food and look after the cubs.
2. G + wake up

Answer: Grouse

G + ROUSE = GROUSE. A male grouse makes a distinctive strumming sound for its mating call during elaborate courtship dancing.

Answer: Mice

M + ICE = MICE. Mice, the plural of mouse, come in many species. One very extrordinary type is the the Selevin Mouse from Russia which was discovered in 1939 and loves to eat spiders during the night when it is most active.

Sable bulls drive younger bulls out of the herd during mating season and often bulls are killed or seroiuosly wounded in these fight. S + LUG = SLUG. Slugs belong to the animal phylum Mollusca (molluscs), class Gastropoda (slugs and snails). There are over 40,000 species of gastropod and most land and freshwater slugs belong to a group called the pulmonates.

M + INK = MINK. Mink are found throughout most of northern America and valuable for their fur. As adults they are bold, ferocious, and virtually untameable, but as kittens they are playful and can become attached to the person who cares for them.
