Anne's best friend Diana Wright (nee Barry) named her daughter Anne Cordelia.
2. Which character lived in Toronto?

Answer: Jane

Jane and her mother lived with her maternal Grandmother on Gay Street in Toronto before moving to Prince Edward Island to live with her father.

But then again, she's only six. Anne wrote mainly stories, Emily her journals and poetry, and Jane letters.
4. Which character's family is mentioned in another's story?

Answer: Emily

The Murrays of Blair Water are mentioned in "Magic for Marigold," when the family thought that baby Marigold was going to die. "At Cloud of Spruce, just as with the Murrays down at Blair Water, it was a tradition that dying people must be taken into the spare room." Chapter 2.
5. When first introduced to the reader, which character was the second youngest?

Faith Meredith, one of the Minister's children in "Rainbow Valley," is the owner of Adam.

The exact number is hard to determine because not all of Emily's suitors were named and accounted for. Anne received six in total (Gilbert proposed twice). Marigold and Jane were too young.
8. Which story ("Anne of Green Gables," "Emily of New Moon," "Jane of Lantern Hill," and "Magic for Marigold") was written second last?

Answer: Marigold

"Anne of Green Gables" was written in 1908, "Emily of New Moon" in 1923, "Magic for Marigold" in 1929, and "Jane of Lantern Hill" in 1937. Incidentally, "Anne of Ingleside" was written in 1939, the last of the Anne series to be written.
9. Which character loses a parent(s) at the earliest age?

Answer: Marigold

Marigold's father died of pneumonia two weeks before she was born. Anne lost both parents to fever when she was three months old. Emily lost her mother at age four and then her father at age ten. Jane has both parents.
10. Which character was the best elocutionist?

Answer: Anne

Anne had great success with "The Maiden's Vow" at the White Sands Hotel. A professional elocutionist, Mrs. Evans, even paid her compliments on her interpretation.

Thank you for taking my quiz! It's good to see that some of L.M.M.'s other books are known to readers. My apologies for any mistakes.
