1. The towns of Corner Brook, Gander and Happy Valley-Goose Bay are found in which province?

Answer: Newfoundland and Labrador

Newfoundland and Labrador is also home to L'Anse aux Meadows, a Norse or Viking settlement that has been dated back to the year 1000. It was discovered in 1960 and declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The capital of the province was St. John's, and Newfoundland joined Canada in 1949. Labrador is also part of the province, but is part of the Canadian mainland, located northeast of Quebec.
2. In what province can you find Brandon, Flin Flon, and the "Polar Bear Capital of the World", Churchill?

Answer: Manitoba

The capital of the central province, Winnipeg, is the "Slurpee Capital of the World", as 400,000 slurpees are enjoyed each month. Lake Winnipeg and Lake Manitoba are all that remains of a large glacier that once covered most of the nearly 650,000 sq. km (250,000 sq. mi) of the province.

The Royal Canadian Mint, located in Winnipeg, has not only produces money for Canada, but for 60 other nations.
3. If I want to find Fredericton, Moncton, and Saint John, where should I look?

Answer: New Brunswick

The Bay of Fundy, on the eastern shores of New Brunswick, has some of the highest tides in the world, rising at about 1 meter (3.3 feet) per hour between low tide and high tide. Because of the tide change, the Saint John River flows backward twice a day! Magnetic Hill in the province is also a tourist destination, as objects seemingly roll UPHILL on it.

The province has two official languages, English and French.
4. The cities of Fort McMurray, Medicine Hat, and Red Deer are where in Canada?

Answer: Alberta

Alberta is one of the three "prairie provinces", along with Saskatchewan and Manitoba. The town of Lloydminister can be found in both Alberta and Saskatchewan, as the centre of the town lies right on the provincial border. Alberta has a large population of Ukrainians, and the town of Vegreville is home to a 9 meter tall (30 feet) Ukrainian Easter Egg.

The eastern side of the province is where you can find the Rocky Mountains, and the world-famous Banff National Park. Alberta's second largest city, Calgary, hosted the 1988 Winter Olympics.
5. If I'm touring Thunder Bay, London and Kingston, in which Canadian province am I?

Answer: Ontario

Built in 1975, the CN Tower in Toronto was once the world's tallest free-standing building, measuring in at 554 meters (1815 feet).

In Sudbury, you can find the Big Nickel, a giant reproduction of a 1951 Canadian nickel that is 9 meters (30 feet) wide!
6. Where can I find the cities of Summerside, Cavendish, and Charlottetown?

Answer: Prince Edward Island

PEI is Canada's smallest province, and is well known as the home of Anne in the story "Anne of Green Gables", written by Lucy Maud Montgomery. The red soil of the island gets its colour from the high amounts of iron in it. Almost 1/3 of potato production in Canada is based on the island.

The capital Charlottetown was where the Charlottetown Conference was held in 1864 to discuss Canadian Confederation. The city is now known as the "Birthplace of Confederation".
7. The cities of Surrey, Kamloops, and Abbotsford can be found on the Trans-Canada Highway in which province?

Movies such as the "Twilight" and "The Incredible Hulk" were filmed in BC, mostly in the Vancouver area.
8. The cities of Sydney, Digby, and Truro are where in Canada?

Answer: Nova Scotia

Nova Scotia has an official song with a rather odd title, "Farewell to Nova Scotia". Sounds like they want you to leave! The crest of Nova Scotia also features a mythical unicorn! However, Nova Scotia is home to Canada's first working railway, one that opened in 1838. Canada's first newspaper was the Halifax Gazette, first published back in 1752! The Halifax Explosion of 1917 killed over 2,000 people after two warships collided in Halifax Harbour, and was the worst man-made disaster before the atomic bomb.
9. If I'm visiting Sherbrooke, Gatineau, and Trois-Rivières, I must be in this province.

Answer: Quebec

In the capital, Quebec City, the Château Frontenac is the most photographed hotel in the world. Quebec is the largest province (Nunavut is the largest territory) in Canada, but most people live in the southern strip along the St. Lawrence River. Over a million lakes can be found in Quebec. Winter Carnival is similar to Mardi Gras, and was first celebrated to lighten up the dark and cold winter season.

It has since become a popular tourist event, and features many parts of Quebec culture.
10. The cities of Swift Current, Prince Albert, and Regina are in what province?

Answer: Saskatchewan
