In "Rock Bottom", while returning to the Bikini Bottom, after having visited a theme park, they take the wrong bus, which was heading for Rock Bottom. While Patrick manages to get the bus home, SpongeBob, nervous and unable to understand the language of the animals that inhabit the place, is stuck there for hours.

Plankton tells SpongeBob that he will earn one million dollars if he answers the question what is the Krabby Patty secret formula. However, SpongeBob refuses to reveal the secret. Mr. Krabs emerges, tosses Plankton out of the restaurant and the formula is saved once more.

Despite SpongeBob's pleas and supplications, Gary keeps following Patrick and SpongeBob buys other pets to forget his sorrows, but all of them abandon him. Finally, it is revealed that Gary wanted only the cookie in Patrick's pocket and that he is SpongeBob's friend.

The Talent Show was organized by Squidward and hosted by Mr. Krabs. The latter hopes it will increase the profits of the Krusty Krab, while the former hopes to become famous. However, SpongeBob has not said his final word, nor has he submitted to Squidward's high ambitions.

She hijacks it, but SpongeBob manages to unmask her, the boatmobile crashes a police car, Mrs. Puff is jailed and SpongeBob is made to give up his license.

In this episode, Squidward was supposed to take care of Gary while SpongeBob and Patrick were about to leave Bikini Bottom, in order to attend a jellyfishing convention. Squidward, however, does not care at all about the snail, and Gary gets sick due to lack of food, water and attention. SpongeBob calls a doctor, who tell them to give Gary snail plasma. Squidward tries to inject Gary, but accidentally gives the medicine to SpongeBob, who turns into a snail.

In fact, the boots are just fishing boots, which Mr. Krabs had bought initially for his daughter, Pearl, for her birthday. When she rejected them, Mr. Krabs gave them to SpongeBob, but he regretted it, because of the terrible squeak.

Squidward just wanted to practise his clarinet, but SpongeBob and Patrick wanted him to join them in jellyfishing. Squidward goes to the Krusty Krab, closed for Sunday, freezes, then is unfrozen after 2000 years by SpongeTron, and tries, with the help of a time machine, to return home.

It all begins when a bass, named Bubble Bass, claims that SpongeBob did not put pickles inside his Krabby Patty, causing SpongeBob to mess up the ingredients of the meal, thus being unable to cook at the Krusty Krab. The phrase "crustaceous cheapskate" is said by SpongeBob when Mr. Krabs tries to press him return to work, because Squidward was an awful chef.
