This spell is a creation of Severus Snape, the Half-Blood Prince. It first appeared in 'The Half-Blood Prince'. Silencio silences people. Quietus is the counter-charm for Sonorus, which makes your voice louder. Langlock is another creation of Snape, which glues your tongue to the roof of your mouth. Langlock would work well on Malfoy, preventing him from shouting.

Now, Unforgivable Curses (such as Avada Kedavra) are a dead cert to not be used, because you might get carted off to Azkaban. Throwing away your wand will just give Malfoy a chance to jinx you. As for running away, well, you started it in the first place.

Harry learns this spell at the Duelling Club, founded by Lockhart in 'Chamber of Secrets', with disastrous results. Lots of jinxes and hexes flying around.

Answer: Petrificus Totalus

We first see this spell in 'The Philosopher's Stone', when Hermione puts it on Neville to stop him from blocking their way to recover the Stone. Stupefy stuns people for periods of time. A Stunner is the same as Stupefy, except that it's not the incantation. Avada Kedavra kills.

Answer: 'Densaugeo'

Draco Malfoy put this spell on Hermione in 'The Goblet of Fire' and Madam Pomfrey had to shrink her teeth. Snape didn't even give him detention. Engorgio enlarges things. Magnificus? I made it up.

Answer: Tarantallegra

Whoever gets hit with this spell starts a crazy dance with their legs. It's hilarious. Well, maybe not if you're the dancer. This spell appears at the Duelling Club in 'The Chamber of Secrets'. Harry puts it on Malfoy. Then again, in 'The Order of the Phoenix', we see Antonin Dolohov putting it on Neville, resulting in a smashed prophecy.

Answer: No

Levicorpus dangles people in the air by their ankles. Levicorpus is a non-verbal spell. Levicorpus, like Muffliato and Langlock, is a Snape creation that first appears in 'The Order of the Phoenix'. Harry sees his dad using it on Snape in the Pensieve.

Answer: Imperio

Imperio is an Unforgivable Curse. If Snape catches you, he would definitely expel you (hexing a student from his house, and I haven't even counted the points he'll take away from your house). Evanesco vanishes things. If you're Harry, Protego would send Snape flying and make him more supicious. Running means leaving the fun. Imperio makes its first debut in 'The Goblet of Fire', where Barty Crouch, impersonating as Moody, taught Harry how to throw it off. Actually he taught the whole class.

Answer: Langlock

A Snape creation, Harry has used it on Filch many times and also once on Peeves. It appears first in 'The Half-Blood Prince'. Waddiwasi is used to get chewing gum out of a hole (or that's what I saw of it in the 'Prisoner of Azkaban'). Muffliato makes others oblivious to what you are saying and it is also a Snape creation. Silencio is a good spell to use as it shuts him up immediately, but I said 'tongue to the roof of his mouth'.

Answer: Finite Incantatem

Finite Incantatem, or just Finite, ends spells. We first see this spell at the Duelling Club in 'The Chamber of Secrets', when Snape ends Harry and Malfoy's duel. The others are funny fakes.

Answer: Obliviate

Wish we had Lockhart here! He's a master at this spell! Oh, by the way, Obliviate makes people forget what they had just done (or you can wipe out all of his/her memory). The others are fakes that don't make sense. Obliviate is first seen in 'The Chamber of Secrets' when Lockhart tries to put it on Harry and Ron in the pipe. He blasted himself instead with Ron's broken wand.
