Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. How long had Jimmy and Jerry wanted to host "Veggie Tales"?

Answer: Since "Dave and the Giant Pickle"

Your typical "Veggie Tales" episode started out with Bob and Larry greeting you from the kitchen counter. However, in this episode, it started out with Jimmy and Jerry Gourd dressing up as Bob and Larry, in attempt to host the show themselves. When Bob and Larry caught them, Jimmy and Jerry begged to host just one show, claiming that they had wanted to since "Dave and the Giant Pickle" was made.
2. What nationality does the Veggie with the strawberries claim to be?

Answer: Swedish

The story that Jimmy and Jerry used to teach about selfishness was called "The Englishman Who Went Up the Hill and Came Down With all of the Bananas". The other character in the story was a Swedish man, who went up another hill and came down with all of the strawberries.

The two characters both wanted some of each other's food, but were not willing to share with one another, leaving both the Englishman and the Swedish man unsatisfied.
3. When Jimmy and Jerry concluded their story, what verse did Qwerty give them?

Answer: He didn't give them one

Jimmy and Jerry went over to Qwerty the Computer and asked for the verse of the day, but Qwerty didn't give it to him, because he was turned off. Jimmy and Jerry both tried to turn Qwerty on, but didn't know how - that was the last straw, so Bob and Larry wound up taking over the episode.
4. What was the name of King George's favorite General?

Answer: Cedric

Cedric was played by one of the scallions, and was in several scenes in "King George and the Ducky". Cedric didn't always want to do what King George demanded, but was eager to please his king, so he just responded with "as you wish, sire".
5. Finish the lyric: "You must go and get it for me. If you want me to be happy, then you'll show me _____."

Answer: you adore me

King George loved taking bubble baths with his rubber duckies - which he had a couple hundred of. King George was in a very happy mood until he spied Thomas holding a rubber ducky - a rubber ducky that King George just had to have. He tried to persuade Louis to steal it for him by singing this song.
6. What happened to Thomas once he was sent to war?

Answer: He got creamed

He was put in the army to fight in The Great Pie War. He got put at the front of the battle, which meant that all the pies thrown from the enemy hit him first. It wasn't long before he was creamed (from all of the cream pies), and lost his memory.
7. What disguise did King George wear when he stole Thomas' duck?

Answer: Fake glasses, mustache, and nose

After Thomas was sent off to war, King George put on a glasses/nose/mustache ensemble and went through the trap door under his bed. He went to Thomas' house and stole Thomas' ducky, without getting caught. He was very happy with the ducky, though Louis commented "it looks just like your other duckies".
8. What did Melvin the Wise use to teach King George about being selfish?

Answer: A flannel-graph

Melvin the Wise was played by Pa Grape. He knew about King George's selfishness with the rubber duckies, so he brought in a flannel-graph and told King George a story about a rich man and a poor man. The rich man had lots of sheep, and the poor man had one. One day, a guest was coming for the rich man, so instead of making the guest dinner from one of his own sheep, he stole the poor man's sheep and made dinner out of it, so that the rich man wouldn't lose any sheep. That was selfish.
9. Finish the lyric: "I thought it'd make me happy, I thought it was the way, but it _____".

Answer: weren't

Throughout the entire episode, King George kept using bad grammar, and kept getting reprimanded by Louis. In this song, it was no exception. Although "wasn't" or "was not" would have worked best grammatically, King George insisted on using the word "weren't".
10. What was the silly song in this episode titled?

Answer: Endangered Love

The "Silly Song with Larry" in this episode was called "Endangered Love". It featured Larry sitting on his couch with a stuffed manatee, watching a soap opera about manatees named Barbara and Bill. During the commercial breaks, Larry danced with his stuffed manatee, expressing his love to her.
