Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. Even I, Albus Dumbledore, would find it easiest to refuse the Invisibility Cloak; which only goes to show that, clever as I am, I remain just as big a fool as anyone else.

Answer: The Tales of Beedle the Bard

This standalone book features five wizarding tales, but the most notable is "The Tale of the Three Brothers". Originally only seven copies of this book were made, and one of them was sold in a charity auction for a record-breaking £1.95 million. The proceeds went to J.K. Rowling's charity Lumos.
2. All was well.

Answer: Deathly Hallows

This peace, of course, ends up being overturned by "Harry Potter and the Cursed Child", but in the meantime the characters live relatively normal lives. Neville marries Hannah Abbott who ends up owning The Leaky Cauldron. Ginny plays Quidditch for the Holyhead Harpies and later works for the Daily Prophet.
3. "I'm going to have a lot of fun with Dudley this summer..."

Answer: Sorcerer's Stone

Sorcerer Nicolas Flamel used the Sorcerer's Stone to create an Elixir of Life, which extended the lives of him and his wife. However, after Harry's fiasco with the Stone, Flamel agreed that it should be destroyed, saying he had enough Elixir to set his affairs in order.

It is therefore implied that he and his wife died soon after, but according to Dumbledore it was like "going to bed after a very, very long day".
4. His hand closed automatically around the fake Horcrux, but in spite of...the final meeting with Voldemort he knew must come...he felt his heart lift at the thought that there was still one last golden day of peace left to enjoy with Ron and Hermione.

Answer: Half-Blood Prince

In the sixth book of the Harry Potter series, one of the most beloved characters - Albus Dumbledore - meets his end. However, we see this character in his younger form in the movie series "Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them". In this series a relative named Aurelius is revealed, though the exact connection to Albus remains vague by the end of the second movie.
5. And, grinning broadly at the look of horror on Uncle Vernon's face, Harry set off toward the station exit, Hedwig rattling along in front of him, for what looked like a much better summer than the last.

Answer: Prisoner of Azkaban

During the third book in the series, Harry and Hermione change the past through the use of a Time Turner. J.K. Rowling has later said that she went too lightheartedly into the subject of time travel, because it raises the question of why the device was never used to undo more problems.

Originally the idea was that all of the Time Turners were smashed in the Department of Mysteries, but "Harry Potter and Cursed Child" reopened that can of worms when a Time Turner was yet again introduced.
6. The yeti devours anything that strays into its path, though it fears fire, and may be repulsed by skilled wizards.

Answer: Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them

Perhaps better known as a screenplay, this book gives an A-Z guide of various magical creatures. The movie "Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them" takes place in the 1920s, and it stars Newt Scamander, who later goes on to write the book.
7. As Hagrid had said, what would come, would come . . . and he would have to meet it when it did.

Answer: Goblet of Fire

This book features the first death of the series (excluding James and Lily, of course) when Cedric Diggory meets his end at the Triwizard Tournament. This magical contest between Hogwarts, Beaxbatons, and Durmstrang was discontinued around 1792 because of deaths it caused, but it was reinstated in the fourth book with new rules to make it safer for contestants.

This obviously did not work out, so the Tournament was discontinued again after Cedric's death.
8. And together they walked back through the gateway to the Muggle world.

Answer: Chamber of Secrets

The Chamber of Secrets, created by Hogwarts founder Salazar Slytherin, was not originally meant to contain an evil creature. The founder created it to be a classroom for his students to learn spells the other founders may not approve of, presumably the Dark Arts. Later, when his evil plans intensified, he repurposed the room to hold a basilisk.
9. Instead he smiled, raised a hand in farewell, turned around, and led the way out of the station toward the sunlit street, with Uncle Vernon, Aunt Petunia, and Dudley hurrying along in his wake.

Answer: Order of the Phoenix

In the fifth book of the series, Dolores Umbridge makes an appearance. This villain ends up in the hospital after she is psychologically traumatized by centaurs, but that isn't the end for Umbridge. J.K. Rowling revealed that she was later sent to Azkaban for imprisoning, torturing, and imposing death sentences on innocents.
10. Long may the game continue to evolve and long may future generations of witches and wizards enjoy this most glorious of sports!

Answer: Quidditch Through the Ages

Quidditch is a more complex sport than might meet the eye. There are seven hundred different fouls in the game, and not all of them have even been made public so that players will not get ideas. For example, it is illegal to transfigure the Chaser into a polecat or to attack an opponent with an axe. Who would have thought?
