New Zealand is located in the southwestern Pacific Ocean, approximately 900 miles to the east of Australia. The continent of which New Zealand is a part has been variously referred to as Australia, Australasia and Oceania.

Answer: Wellington

Auckland is the biggest city in New Zealand, but Wellington is the capital. It took its name from the famous British soldier and Prime Minister, the Duke of Wellington.

Answer: North Island & South Island

North Island is the more heavily populated of the two, containing the cities of Auckland and Wellington. South Island is bigger than its northern neighbour, but with a lot less people living there. The biggest cities on South Island are Christchurch and Dunedin.
