Rose went abroad with her uncle Dr. Alec, and former maid and adopted sister Phebe Moore.

Answer: Buffum

Buffum was her manager. Pemberton was a man who loved Rose. There are no such characters as Horace and Simpson.
3. What was the name of the book that Mac wrote?

Answer: Songs and Sonnets

He wrote "Songs and Sonnets" and sent it to Rose on New Year's Day.
