Kim and Jason are two young children that were left to be orphans. At the beginning of the movie, they are approached by Friend Bear and Secret Bear to try and be their friends. They tell the Care Bears not to trouble themselves as they don't want to be let down one more time.

Nicholas is a young and troubled boy who has never had a friend. All of the young children at the carnival like to make fun of him and laugh at him because he keeps messing up his magic tricks. Before Tenderheart Bear can help him, however, he is taken over by an evil spirit that convinces Nicholas to teach all of those children that have bothered him a nasty lesson.

Answer: In a magic book

During one scene of the movie, Nicholas brings in a trunk of magic items for Mr. Fettucini. When he tries to close the door, he loses his balance and drops the trunk (possibly breaking everything inside). Nicholas is sent to the back room of Mr. Fettucini's trailer in order to search through a trunk to see if there is anything useful left in it.

He takes out a magic book that is locked and needs a key to open it. The evil spirit can be found inside the book.

The evil spirit does not appreciate that Tenderheart Bear is trying to help Nicholas. The spirit wants to see Nicholas punish all of those children that have tormented him by using her evil magic spells. When Tenderheart Bear says that he is Nicholas' friend and wants to help him, the evil spirit retaliates by trapping Tenderheart Bear in a cage. Tenderheart Bear eventually escapes by pushing the cage open with his heart logo.

Answer: No one will care any more.

As the result of Nicholas casting evil spells upon the earth, the caring meter in Care-A-Lot dropped two points. If the caring meter drops down to zero, the Care Bears can no longer help people as they will have absolutely no feelings and will not care about anything.

Answer: Forest of Feelings

Upon the news that Nicholas and the evil spirit will eventually take over the earth, Kim and Jason go with the Care Bears to try and convince Nicholas that he is doing the wrong thing. They decide to use the Rainbow Rescue Beam to transport to the carnival.

A cloud quake (similar to an earthquake) hits Care-A-Lot and rather than end up at the carnival, they end up in the Forest of Feelings. It is here that they receive extra help for their mission when they encounter the Care Bear Cousins.

In order to take away the feelings of Kim and Jason, the evil spirit sends out a spearfish to try and prevent their boat from getting through the forest of feelings, an evil tree attempts to kidnap Kim and Jason while Playful Heart Monkey is playing charades, and an eagle tries to fly down to attack them.

Answer: Icky Sticky Bubble Gum

When Nicholas is about to use his superpowers to attack Swift Heart Rabbit, he happens to step in a wad of icky sticky bubble gum. He must drop this into the cauldron in order to cast a spell that will make everyone on Earth finally stop caring.

Answer: It disappears from his hand.

After a huge Care Bear Stare and Call, it appears that it is too late to help save Nicholas. Kim and Jason talk to Nicholas and tell him that they used to be like him. They tell him that they used to not care and did not have any friends. At this point, Nicholas turns against the evil spirit and closes the book.

When Jason attempts to place the key back in the lock, the evil spirit casts a spell that makes the key disappear. Secret Bear gives Jason a new key from his padlock and this ends the terror that the children of Earth have endured.

At the end of the movie, Kim and Jason are seen at the carnival. Nicholas is performing his famous magic tricks and Kim and Jason are enjoying themselves. We see Kim and Jason sitting between their new parents. At this point, Kim says "aren't parents great?".
