Alice is embroidering the pillow cases. And Marilyn is giving Ben and Sylvia the book. Lester jokes that he is giving them his room as a present but then reveals that he got them a clock.

2. What did they call Grandpa McKinley when he was younger?

Answer: The cat's pyjamas

Grandpa McKinley is very upset when Ben told him at the rehearsal that Marie died yen years ago. He remembers his wife and his son, who also died. Then Sylvia cheers him up by saying he probably looked handsome on his wedding day. He then whispers loudly: "'They used to call me the cat's pyjamas!'"

Alice has to listen for the end of Martin Small's composition, so they know when to get ready to proceed out! Ben is Alice's father, Kirk is Sylvia's brother, while Shirley is just a name I made up!

Alice finds Lori in the rest rooms, crying. Lori won't admit at first what is wrong, but she then tells Alice that she broke up with Leslie, her first real girlfriend.

As far as I know, there isn't even a Mr. Mayer in Alice's school! She 'thinks it's weird to be holding hands with someone who once taught you Maths or Earth Science!'

When Alice and her friends wake up on Sunday morning, Aunt Sally is making French Toast and Uncle Milt is squeezing oranges. Alice jokes that they should "Hire them to stay on".

9. What does Lois bring over after the wedding as "a surprise" for Ben and Sylvia when they get home from their honeymoon?

Answer: A mannequin dressed as a belly dancer

Sylvia once went to a party dressed as a belly dancer. Lois brings over a department store mannequin and the costume and she and Alice dress it. They then lay it out on the bed as a "Welcome" to Ben and Sylvia when they get back.

Answer: She thinks her mouth will look like a baby's crib

Alice has to have braces near the end of "Including Alice". She doesn't want to "flaunt them, not fight them", as the dentist says, as green would "look like spinach stuck between her teeth and blue and pink would look like a baby's crib." She chooses "plain silver" instead.
