Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. In book 6, what is Arthur's dearest ambition?

Answer: To find out how Muggle airplanes stay in the air

Arthur is the father of all the Weasleys. He once had a turquoise Ford Anglia - a Muggle car - that he enchanted to fly. Harry and Ron borrowed it to fly to Hogwarts in the second book. He was seriously injured by Lord Voldemort's snake in book 5, but managed to survive. He was born on February 6th.
2. In book 6, Molly mentions a Great Aunt, who would lend Fleur a goblin-made tiara when she marries Bill. What was that Great Aunt's name?

Answer: Muriel

Marge, of course, in Vernon Dursley's sister, not connected to the Weasley family at all - at least we don't think she is! Molly is the mother of all the Weasleys and she adores Harry and Hermione. Her nickname is Mollywobbles, when she and Arthur are alone together.

Her Boggart is seeing all her family and Harry dead. Molly had two brothers - Fabian and Gideon Prewett - who were killed, when Lord Voldemort first came to power.
3. In book 1, Ron is moaning to Harry about how nearly everything he has is second hand. What had Ron got that belonged to Bill?

Answer: Robes

In the first book, Ron's wand belonged to Charlie, and Scabbers used to belong to Percy. Bill was Prefect and Head Boy of his day at Hogwarts. Bill worked in Egypt, for Gringotts wizarding bank. In books 5 and 6, he spent more time at home - mainly because of Fleur Delacour. Fleur was the Beauxbatons Triwizard Champion in book 4. Bill and Fleur got engaged to be married in book 6, and even after Fenrir Greyback, the werewolf, scarred Bill, Fleur still planned to marry him. Bill was born on November 29th.
4. Where does Charlie work with dragons?

Answer: Romania

Charlie is the one Weasley we don't know much about. We first hear of Charlie, in book 1, when his friends took Norbert the Norwegian Ridgeback dragon away from Hogwarts, after Hagrid won him in a bet. We met him properly when he attended the Quidditch World Cup with the rest of the family in book 4.

He was the Gryffindor Quidditch Seeker - like Harry - when he attended Hogwarts. Charlie was born on December 12th.
5. How many O.W.L.s did Percy achieve in book 2?

Answer: 12

Percy is the "black sheep" of the Weasley family. His full name is Percival Ignatius Weasley. Percival is also one of Professor Albus Dumbledore's names. Percy was Head Boy at Hogwarts. Percy fell out with his family in book 5, as he did not approve of their support of Professor Dumbledore.

He works for the Ministry of Magic, and lives somewhere in London at the moment. Percy was born on August 22nd.
6. Fred and George gave Harry the Marauders Map in book 3. Which of the Marauders did George mention first?

Answer: Moony

Fred and George left Hogwarts in book 5, during their last year. They couldn't put up with Professor Umbridge any longer, especially since Fred, George and Harry were banned from playing Quidditch. Fred and George were Beaters on the Gryffindor Quidditch team. At the end of book 4 Harry gave Fred and George his Triwizard winnings, so they could start a joke shop.
7. With whom did Fred go to the Yule Ball in book 4?

Answer: Angelina Johnson

Fred is the twin brother of George. The Weasley twins were born on April 1st - quite an appropriate day for them! The twins enjoy inventing things throughout the series, and in book 6, they have their very own shop - Weasley's Wizard Wheezes.
8. What is Ron's ideal career in book 5?

Answer: Auror

Ron's full name is Ronald Bilius Weasley. He had an uncle called Bilius. Ron has always been Harry's friend, ever since the first book, although they sometimes argue. Ron has a terror of spiders, since Fred made his Teddy bear into a spider, when he was three, after he broke Fred's toy broomstick. Ron's birthday is on March 1st.
9. Who is Ginny dating, at the beginning of book 6?

Answer: Dean Thomas

Ginny is the first girl born for some years, in the Weasley family, the seventh child. Her full name is Ginevra Molly Weasley. Ginny is the youngest of the family. She started Hogwarts in book 2 - although we saw her at King's Cross Station, in book 1. Ginny was born on August 11th.
10. The Weasleys live at The Burrow. What village is this near?

Answer: Ottery St. Catchpole

Hogsmeade, is obviously near Hogwarts, while Little Whinging is where the Dursleys live. Cokeworth, is the area, where Harry and the Dursleys stayed, when they were trying to escape from the letters being delivered in book 1 They stayed at the Rail View Hotel. Ottery St. Catchpole is a fictional village but there is an Ottery St. Mary, in Exeter, England.
