Numerous times, Yvonne and Tor went up to Saratoga, or Belmont, with the McLean's, when one of their horses was racing. Tor and Samantha want to many of the dances, and Tor also taughter her how to ride in a steeplechase.

After reflecting over her new job at Whitebrook, Tor found Samantha walking through the forest at Whitebrook. That's where he proposed to Samantha.

One was over Samantha's dad's girlfriend, and the other was over Tor spending too much time training one of his students, who had a crush on him. Tor knew the girl who he was helping to train liked him, and he said he was flattered, but he told Samantha he never took the girl seriously. a few weeks went by, and one of Tor's horses came down with a virus, then the power went out, all the grooms and Tor's father was sick, to make things worse they had a businessman who was threatening to back out.

Yvonne Ortez was Samantha's best friend, and was also the one who introduced Tor and Samantha. Yvonne had been taking riding lessons from Tor at the time. Ashleigh Griffen, was the wife of Mike Reese who owns Whitebrook Farm. Samantha met Ashleigh went Samantha had first moved to Townsend Acres, they became best friends as well. Angelique Depree was the girl who had a crush on Tor, and tried to go after him, even though he was already going out with Samantha.

He continuingly pushed Angelique away, because he didn't feel anything for her.
