A toasted sandwich maker can also be called a toastie maker. It has two plates that come together. These plates cook the sandwich and also seal it to keep the filling inside. Sometimes, when the sandwich maker is with me and someone yells out "Hey Toastie" it can get really confusing.

Dishwashers use hot water to clean your dishes. Most of them also have rinse cycles or rinsing aids that help the dishes to dry properly and not leave those nasty water spots behind. We're still good friends but I have to be careful alongside her because toasters and hot water are not very good for each other.

Alarm clocks can make noises like buzzers or bells and some of them can even turn on radios. Even though the alarm clock and I are best buddies, the disappointing thing about our relationship is that when her alarm goes off it means I have to go to work.
