Veterinarians can take care of all kinds of animals. They help animals of all sizes, from as small as a mouse to as large as an elephant. Also known as "vets", they can heal a wound, pull a tooth, treat a disease, or even perform surgery to make an animal better.

By the way, the 1990 winner of the Miss America Contest was Dr. Debbye Turner, who earned her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree at the University of Missouri.
