Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. Why were Alex and Justin punished by the wizard court in the episode "Alex Tells the World"?

Answer: They exposed magic to mortals.

Both Alex and Justin exposed magic to mortals. In the episode, Alex told a group of reporters that she and her family are wizards. As it turned out, the people were there because it was a test by Professor Crumbs. While none of the people were real, it still proved to Professor Crumbs that Alex would tell mortals about the existence of wizards.
Justin told Agent Lamwood about wizards in the previous episode, "Wizards Exposed". Agent Lamwood tricked Justin into thinking aliens were going to invade Earth. Like the group of reporters, Agent Lamwood was merely a test for the Russos, which Justin failed.
Because of this, the wizard court ruled in favor of punishing Alex and Justin. Their punishment was to be taken back to the first level of their wizard training.
2. For a few episodes during the fourth season, Max was turned into a woman, Maxine. How did Jerry and Theresa say that Maxine was related to Max?

Answer: cousin

Justin and Alex intended to use a spell on each other, but instead, both spells hit Max. The spell was to change the person into the opposite gender, which meant that Max became a female, Maxine. Max/Maxine wanted to continue learning at Tribeca Prep, so Justin and Theresa enrolled him/her there and explained to Mr. Laritate, the principal, that Maxine was Max's cousin and she was part of a cousin exchange program.
3. One of Justin's girlfriends, Rosie, kept a secret from Justin. What was that secret?

Answer: She was an angel of darkness.

Rosie originally pretended to be a wizard, but once she revealed she couldn't perform magic, Rosie told Justin that she was an angel. However, there was a further secret: she wasn't just an angel, but an angel of darkness. Originally, she was a good angel, but she was tempted to be an angel of darkness working for the leader, Gorog.

Although Gorog wanted all humans to be corrupted, Rosie's love for Justin convinced her to stop Gorog and rejoin the good angels.
4. Who of the following was told that the Russos were wizards in this season?

Answer: Zeke

In the appropriately titled episode "Zeke Finds Out", Zeke practised magic tricks, but he wasn't very good at it, so Alex decided to help him out by using her own magic. As a result, Zeke believed he was a wizard. When Zeke wished to cut Max in half using a real saw, Justin steps in and tells Zeke that he and his family were the wizards and not Zeke.

After learning this, Zeke promised to keep it a secret.
5. While at the beach, Alex received a fortune from a fortune-telling machine. What was her fortune?

Answer: Say good-bye to your life.

Against her father's wishes, Alex decided to get her fortune told. The reason her father, Jerry, was against it was because the man in the fortune-telling machine, Zelzar, was a wizard, which means that whatever fortune he tells a wizard, it will come true. Alex's fortune was "say good-bye to your life".

When it became apparent Alex couldn't ignore her fortune, she convinced Zelzar to give her fortune to someone else. It was given to a young girl who ended up winning $1,000,000. The host told the girl to "say good-bye to your life, because we're randomly giving you one million dollars!" (This is where the "say good-bye to your life" part of the fortune came in.)
6. Who is the owner of the most powerful wand in the wizard world?

Answer: Felix

Felix, one of the students in Justin's class for delinquent wizards, was able to pull a wand out of a crystal ball, proving that he was the owner of that wand, which was the most powerful wand in the wizard world. The wand was originally owned by a wizard named Rinaldi until an evil warlock took the wand from him and plunged it into a crystal ball. Only a descendant of Rinaldi could remove the wand from the crystal ball.

However, it was believed that there were no descendants of Rinaldi.
7. What type of creature temporarily lived with Harper and Alex when they moved to an apartment?

Answer: ghost

Alex and Harper moved from the Russo home to a hotel, Room 13B. Since it was a floor for magical creatures, Harper had to pretend she was a wizard. Harper decided that she wanted to have another roommate to help out around the apartment. A ghost by the name of Lucy moved in.

It was later revealed Lucy lost her love, Donny. Alex learned that Donny was actually trapped on an island in the Bermuda Triangle, so she sent Lucy there, so Lucy could be reunited with Donny.
8. Why did Alex and Harper not have an official graduation ceremony?

Answer: An asteroid struck the school.

The Russos saw a news broadcast on TV that said an asteroid would collide with Earth. Justin, Alex, and Max wished to stop it, so they shrunk themselves and used a toy spaceship to go into space. They managed to blow up the asteroid but parts of it still fell to Earth. One part fell on Tribeca Prep, the school, which resulted in the school being destroyed and everyone automatically graduating.
9. All four of the spells listed below were originally seen in a prior episode. Three of them were cast or mentioned during the wizard competition. Which spell was not one of them?

Answer: Murrieta Animata (animates an inanimate object)

Cashmereus Appearus was a question asked during Round One of the wizard competition. Alex incorrectly stated that the spell was to make cash appear. Max, on the other hand, gave the correct usage of the spell. Justin and Alex used Threemetris Movetris to avoid laser beams that were found in the maze. Alex used Gothru Mothru in the maze (the final part of the wizard competition) to go through a solid wall after she kept running into dead ends.

This leaves Murrieta Animata as the only choice left.
10. Who inherited the Waverly Sub Station?

Answer: Max

Alex ended up winning the wizard competition. Justin replaced Professor Crumbs as a teacher at WizTech and therefore got to keep his powers. Max, on the other hand, lost his powers. However, Jerry told Max that since Max wasn't able to keep his wizard powers, he would get to inherit the Waverly Sub Station.

In an earlier episode, "Make It Happen", Max expressed a desire to work at the sub station, which meant Max would now get his wish.
