Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. One dwarf in "Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs" did not speak. Which one?

Answer: Dopey

Dopey didn't have a beard either. When Snow White asks if Dopey can talk Happy responds "we don't know, he's never tried." According to IMDb.com, there were a total of fifty names submitted for the dwarfs included in the original movie proposal - they included "biggy", "dirty" and "hotsy", but the original list did not include Dopey or Doc. For you LOTR fans, I don't think it included Gimli, son of Gloin, either.
2. The 2nd Amendment to the US Constitution gives someone the right to do which one of the following activities?

Answer: buy a weapon

The language from the second amendment reads: " A well regulated militia, being necessary to the security of a free state, the right of the people to keep and bear arms, shall not be infringed." This language, it has been argued, means that the government should not be able to prohibit the private ownership of any type of gun.
3. Three Dog Night was one of the most popular rock bands in the early '70s. Which one of the following songs was NOT a hit song recorded by them?

Answer: Colour My World

"Colour My World" was a hit song for the band Chicago.
4. Which of the following superbowl-winning quarterbacks wears, or wore, the number "4"?

Answer: Brett Favre - Packers

Elway wore "7", Aikman wore "8", and Warner wears "13".
5. A 5-letter U.S. state also has a 5-letter capital. What is this capital city?

Answer: Boise

Capital of Idaho.
6. A six-fingered man is the villain in which of the following movies?

Answer: The Princess Bride

A very funny (and silly) movie, directed by Rob Reiner.
7. "The Magnificent Seven" is a classic western from 1960, but which of the following actors was NOT in this movie?

Answer: Lee Marvin

Yul Brynner also starred in this movie, which was a remake of the 1954 Japanese film "Shichinin no Samurai" (The Seven Samurai), directed by Akira Kurosawa.
8. "8-ball" is a very popular version of Pocket Billiards, a.k.a Pool. Here is a true/false question about this game: According to the Standardized World Rules (1997), if a player pockets the 8-ball on the break, without scratching, he wins that game.

Answer: False

According to these rules, if a player pockets the 8-ball on the break he has the option of asking for a re-rack or having the 8-ball spotted and continuing his turn. If the breaker scratches while pocketing the 8-ball, the other player has the option of a re-rack or having the 8 spotted and begin shooting with ball in hand behind the head line.
9. In baseball scoring, each fielding position has a designated number and an "E" indicates an error was made. If a play is scored E-9, which player made the error?

Answer: Right Fielder

The defensive positions are designated as follows:1 Pitcher, 2 Catcher, 3 1st base,
4 2nd base, 5 3rd base, 6 Shortstop, 7 Left field, 8 Center field, 9 Right field.
10. Here's an easy one (or is it?) to end with; On a standard playing card (like one from Bicycle brand), how many hearts appear on the 10 of hearts?

Answer: 12

There are 10 in the center plus one by each number 10 in two corners = 12.
