The song tells the story of a person going through a traumatic time after a loss of a loved one. It was originally released as "Paint it, Black" with the comma being a mistake. It was included on the 1966 album "Aftermath". The band had trouble getting the sound just right and experimented with different instruments including a sitar.

The Vikings appeared in four Super Bowl games in this span, losing all four times. Carl Eller (2004) and Alan Page (1988) have both been inducted in to the Pro Football Hall of Fame.

Reggie White was an actual ordained Baptist minister. He amassed 198 sacks during his N.F.L. career. He played for the Eagles, Packers and Panthers. He helped the Green Bay Packers win Super Bowl XXXI by getting three sacks. He was inducted in to the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 2006. He sadly passed away in 2004.
