Guyana is the only one of these countries not found in Africa. It is, in fact, a small country found on the northern coast of South America. Guyana was governed by the Dutch for centuries before coming under the rule of the British empire. Guyana is the only country in South America where English is the official language.

The culture of Guyana is a mix of European, African, and Caribbean influences.

"The Georgics" is a poem that takes up four books. It is thought to have been published around 29 BC. It is the second major work by the Latin literary genius Virgil. It preceded "The Aeneid" and follows his "Eclogues". The subject of the poem is agricultural, and characterizes the tensions that are found in that world.

Geronimo (1829-1909) was an important 19th century Native American chief. He was the leader of the Bedonkohe Apache peoples. Geronimo was known for his intelligence, bravery, cunning, and leadership skills. His name, strangely enough, translates to "he who yawns".

His name is often uttered by those who are engaging in an act which they believe takes courage. The custom of yelling "Geronimo" is sometimes attributed to Aubrey Eberhardt, who was a member of the U.S. Army's original parachute team. He is said to have started this custom and it continues to this day.
