The Ohio River is a tributary of the Mississippi. It forms the entire northern border of Kentucky and separates it from Ohio, Indiana and Illinois.
2. The Kentucky Derby is contested annually at which racetrack?

Answer: Churchill Downs

The Kentucky Derby has taken place every year since 1875 at Churchill Downs, Louisville. It is traditionally the first leg of the Triple Crown for thoroughbreds.

Answer: Bourbon

Bourbon whiskey is made primarily from corn, and around 95% of it is distilled in Kentucky. The town of Bardstown, in Nelson County, calls itself the "Bourbon Capital of the World", and holds the annual Kentucky Bourbon Festival.

Answer: Western Kentucky University

WKU was established in Bowling Green in 1906. It began offering four-year degrees in 1924, and, prior to 1966, was known as Western Kentucky State College. The school's athletics teams are known as the Hilltoppers.

Mammoth Cave was established as a National Park in 1941. It is the longest known cave system in the world. The majority of the park is located in Edmondson County.
