Wallingford is a small town near Flemingsburg, Kentucky. The orchid grows 22 varieties of apples. They also have a popular corn maze that the local school children love to visit on field trips.

Court Days were traditionally know as the last trading day of the year. The festival occurs the third Monday in October. It draws people from all over the world. The population of Mount Sterling triples during the festival. Many booths and vendors line the street. You can buy things such as antiques, crafts, collectibles, handmade furniture and fall harvest foods.

Poage Landing Days, or Fiddle Festival is celebrated the third weekend in September. The festival hosts national and local entertainers, such as Joe Diffie and Buddy Jewel. Some of the activities you will see there include, car shows, motorcycle shows, tractor shows, beauty pageants, and food vendors.

Summer Bash is a huge raffle with prizes given away every five minutes for seven hours. Some prizes include cars, boats, and cash. Tickets costs $100 each. Marty Stuart and Blackhawk have performed there.

The Hillbilly Christmas in July is a weekend event leading up to the giveaway of a Harley. On Saturday there is a hog roast and a motorcycle skills event. Sunday there is a bike ride from Pikeville to the Shriner's Children's Hospital in Lexington, Kentucky. They deliver toys to the children there.
