Answer: Hugo Koblet

Hugo Koblet was the successor to compatriot Ferdi Kübler who won The Tour in 1950. Wilson Kipketer was an 800 meter specialist born as a Kenyan who became a Dane. Kevin Keegan was a soccer player who rose to fame at Liverpool Football Club and later played at Hamburger SV in (then) West-Germany.

Horatio Kitchener was born in 1850 in what is now the republic of Ireland (County Kerry). In 1882 he earned himself the title Lord Kitchener after the battle at Omdurman in Sudan. He was Chief of Staff to Lord Roberts in the Second Boer War and became Secretary of War at the start of World War I.

When he was sent on a mission to Russia to keep that country in the war, the ship he was travelling on, struck a mine and sunk on June 5, 1916. Kitchener drowned.

Answer: Kursk

The battle lasted from July 4 until August 23 and ended a victory for the Soviets. After Kursk the Germans were never able to mount a serious offensive and from then on were always on the backfoot against the Soviets until the end of the war.
