"I Feel Fine" was written by John Lennon and was released by the Beatles in 1964. It was the 'A' side of their eighth single. It reached the top of the UK charts in December and stayed there for five weeks.

However, scholars do not know how this literal meaning became an idiom. One suggestion is that the kettles of fish looked very messy with the bones, head and skin left in them after the fish had been eaten.
