"Life of Pi" by Yann Martel won several prestigious awards including the 2002 Man Booker Prize for Fiction. In the end, the reader is left unsure if Richard Parker was actually there or just a figment of the narrator's imagination produced under stress.

"The Hangover" was directed by Todd Phillips. The plot has a lot of bizarre twists and turns, one of which is the appearance of a tiger in a hotel bathroom. It tranpsires that the tiger belongs to boxer Mike Tyson, and he wants it back. Tyson appeared as himself in the film.

Founded in 1935 as the Osaka Tigers, the team is the sister team to the United States team the Detroit Tigers.

The tiger cubs are called Kumal and Sangha by their owners after they are both captured by a hunter. One ends up in a circus and one ends up in a prince's private zoo. After many adventures, they are put in a cage together and are supposed to fight to entertain a crowd. They recognise each other and make their escape. When they reach their jungle home their mother is waiting for them and the family is reunited to live happily ever after.
"Two Brothers" was directed by Jean Jacques Annaud and around thirty tigers were used to play the cubs, their mother, and their father.
