6. General: The flying creature known as Mothman is said to lurk around in which U.S. state?

Answer: West Virginia

The Mothman legend began in 1966 when a group of gravediggers reported seeing a flying man above them. A similar scene was claimed by two couples a few days later. Speculation grew as to what exactly was seen. The couples reported seeing the Mothman near an area called TNT Area, a nature reserve that was once home to a World War II munitions factory. For the rest of 1966 and 1967 reports of the Mothman were plentiful until December 15, 1967 when the Silver Bridge collapsed, killing 46 people. The accident was blamed on Mothman, although the bridge had been poorly maintained for decades.

After that, reports slowed considerably. Tourists come to the area to hunt for Mothman and sightings are reported but less frequently than they had been in the 1960s.

9. Hobbies: The strelitzia is the proper name for what aviary-sounding flower?

Since Joseph also had hallucinations, it has been suggested that he may have believed himself to be able to levitate and that eyewitnesses agreed for their own reasons. Regardless, the Catholic Church accepts that Joseph levitated because of his holiness.

20. World: Which two U.S. states have a history of fighting over which can claim the Wright Brothers? Hint: The Wright Brothers' first plane appears on both of their state quarters?

Answer: Ohio and North Carolina

The Wright Brothers were from Ohio, although Wilbur was born in Indiana. They lived in Dayton for many years and operated a bicycle repair shop there. However, the brothers chose North Carolina to be the testing location of their glides because of the gentle winds and sandy beaches which would make for a softer impact landing. North Carolina calls itself "First in Flight" and that slogan appears on the state's license plates.

However Ohio calls itself the "Birthplace of Aviation" because Orville was born there, as well as a number of famous astronauts.
