1. Getha will be travelling to Arnhem by train. Which one of the train stations mentioned is NOT in Arnhem?

Answer: Amstel

The train station Amstel is located in Amsterdam, as is the river of the same name. The city of Arnhem has four main train stations, the largest one being Arnhem Central Station. The smaller ones are called Zuid, Presikhaaf and Velperpoort. "Zuid" is the Dutch word for "South", so it is not hard to figure out where in Arnhem it is located. Velperpoort and Presikhaaf are located in the eastern part of the city.
2. As a taxi takes Getha to her hotel in the city, she notices a large river in the city. Which river would this be?

Answer: Rhine

Arnhem is on the Rhine river. Near Arnhem there is also a branch of the Rhine River, the IJssel River. As a result of being located near a river, Arnhem has several bridges. These include the John Frost Bridge and the Nelson Mandela Bridge. In the Second World War Operation Market Garden allowed Allied forces to break through German lines and take control of several Dutch bridges.

The John Frost Bridge (named after commander John Frost after the war) was one of them. The events of this operation are featured in the movie "A Bridge Too Far".

It is the largest province of the Netherlands, located in the eastern and central part of the Netherlands. Other notable cities in this province include Nijmegen, Apeldoorn and Zutphen. Arnhem houses the government building on the provincial level.

This is where the King's Commissioner, the head of the province has his (or her) offices. It is also where the Provincial Council and the Provincial Executive are located. Nijmegen is located close to Arnhem (approximately 14 kilometres apart).

They often work together on regional projects. The fans of their soccer teams (Vitesse and NEC respectively) mostly do not get along though.
