Mount Coot-tha stands 287 metres above sea level, and on a clear day you can see all the way to Moreton Bay, the mouth of the Brisbane River. Mount Coot-tha derives its name from ku-ta, the local aboriginal term for 'place of honey'.

About 250 km north of Brisbane, Heritage listed K'gari (pronounced 'GUR-rie' or 'Gurrie' with no emphasis on the letter k) is the largest sand island in the world. It is 1840 square kilometres. Formerly known as Fraser Island, its name was changed in 2023 to K'gari to reflect the original indigenous name.

Answer: The Pitch Drop Experiment

Considered to be the world's longest continuously running physics experiment, the Pitch Drop Experiment was started by Professor Parnell in 1927. After being allowed to settle for three years, the stem was cut in 1930 and let slowly drip out of a funnel. By 2016, only nine drops had fallen. Based on this experiment it was estimated that pitch has about 2 million times the viscosity of honey.
