Guam is the largest island in Micronesia and is part of the Mariana Islands group. It is roughly the shape of a footprint with a length of approximately thirty miles and a width ranging from twelve to four miles. Geographically it is about three quarters of the way from Hawaii to the Philippines.

Answer: Spain

After the Spanish-American War, Guam became an unincorporated territory of the United States. Its citizens are provided with a full American citizenship. It is protected by the Constitution of the US and the US dollar is its currency. It remains a very strategic army base for the US in the Pacific.

From December 1941 through July 1944, when the Americans liberated them. During their siege, Japan renamed Guam 'Omiya Jima' meaning 'Great Shrine Island'.

Answer: a musical instrument

It is a traditional instrument made from a hollow goard and strung with wires that are then plucked to make a melodic sound.

Believe it or not, what is perceived as sand is in reality ground coral. This is what the 'beaches' of Guam are made up of. This ground coral is mixed with cement in order to make Guam's paved roads. This is much more economical then importing sand from thousands of miles away!
