Pronounced Pape'ate-aye, this city is the capital and largest city on all the islands of French Polynesia, having around 134,000 inhabitants. The name 'Papeete' means 'water from a basket'.

Answer: Hinano Tahiti

Hinano was launched in 1955 by Yves Martin during Tahiti's annual festival 'Heiva I Tahiti'. The label depicts a Tahitian woman sitting cross-legged in a floral dress and lei, looking at the stars in the sky. This was designed in 1953 by Swedish artist Pierre Heyman.

The name Hinano is the name of a white, tropical flower that comes from the male pandanus plant, indigenous to the South Pacific.

The blacktip reef shark is timid and skittish, harmless to humans unless being fed. These sharks stay around the same reefs for years at a time.

The stingrays are actually pink whiprays and are common in most reefs around the world. Through tourism and human interaction, these stingrays around Mo'orea have become very social and will come up to swimmers in hope of food.

This picturesque island is world-famous for honeymooners and frequented by the rich and famous.
It was also the filming location of one of my favorite movies, Couples Retreat, filmed at the St. Regis Resort

Answer: No

All animals who can't fly, swim or float were introduced to the islands of French Polynesia. The first Polynesians brought dogs, chickens and pigs in their canoes. Geckos and Polynesian Rats were the likely stowaways.

Answer: December

The monsoon season starts around late November and lasts until February. The average rainfall for Papeete in December is 317mm. The average rainfall in Bora Bora in December is 281mm.
