Answer: Sacramento

Sacramento runs east to west and is parallel to other streets in its area. Market, of course, is the most obvious diagonal street, parallel only to most streets in the SoMA (South of Market) area.

Answer: Moscone Recreation Center

3. What district is the northernmost?

Answer: Cow Hollow

Cow Hollow is the most northern district of these choices, location just north of Pacific Heights. You'll find the Palace of Fine Arts, the Presidio, and other locales, near this district.

Close call, but Bayview is slightly more eastern than Potrero Hill. Forest Hill and the Sunset are in western parts of the city.

And of course, now you can take BART to places south of Daly City, such as Colma, Millbrae, and SFO.

Masonic actually runs parallel to Stanyan just on the other side of USF.

As much of downtown is, these streets are all one-way, making it very difficult for visitors (and even some residents) to San Francisco, especially at night and during periods of heavy traffic. Turk becomes two-way when you leave downtown.

The other streets run north-south. Chestnut is in the north-eastern part of the city, and driving along it, you will pass such places as Moscone Recreation Center and the San Francisco Art Institute; be within a black of the famous Lombard St. and Coit Tower; and eventually reach The Embarcadero near Pier 27.
