Answer: Springfield

Springfield is the capital of Illinois, the Land of Lincoln, and is about 100 miles from St. Louis, Missouri. Chicago is about 295 miles from St. Louis and is the third largest city in the U.S., with about 2.8 million people. Aurora is a suburb of Chicago and is 274 miles from St. Louis.
