Answer: On the Northumberland shore

Pictou County, located on the Northumberland Strait, is directly south of Prince Edward Island. In fact, the ferry crossing leaves from Caribou, Pictou County!
2. What is the name of the beach in Pictou County with the warmest waters north of the Carolinas?

Answer: Melmerby Beach

While Caribou, Seafoam, and Waterside are all lovely beaches, Melmerby actually is the warmest!
3. The first settlers to Pictou county came on the ships Betsy and Hector. Where were these settlers from?

Answer: Scotland

These people were displaced by the battles of the Jacobite wars and the ensuing slaughter by the British in the Scottish Highlands. Seeking a safe life for themselves and their children, as well as land and freedom, they crammed into a small boat and sailed to Pictou.This is my own description, however, if you find it anything like it anywhere else on the net or in a book, please let me know.

The Log Church at Loch Broom was built in the late 1700's. The leader of this church was threatened, beaten, and burned out of his home by people who opposed the church, but he remained steadfast. The original church has been long since destroyed, but a replica stands in the spot of the original church.

Dr.W.A.MacLeod gave of himself tirelessly to the people of Pictou County, and the people there will never forget him!
