During the English Civil War (1642-1649), Buckinghamshire was devoutly Parliamentarian. The county MP of the time, John Hampden, was a prominent leader in the opposition against Charles I.
2. The name 'Milton Keynes' actually came from a local village.

Answer: True

'Keynes' was the name of the chief family in the village, which has since been incorporated into the city and renamed 'Middleton', after the manor in which the Keynes family lived during the 1200s.

The computer was called 'Colossus', and was developed in the secret intelligence fight against Nazi Germany during WWII (1939-1945). It was at Bletchley Park that the infamous Enigma Code was deciphered.

It is based at Wolverton, in the north. Virgin Trains has chosen the centre as the one to maintain the new tilting trains that will soon appear all over Britain.
