This satellite-tracking station is run by the Australian and U.S. military. Located 12.4 miles south of Alice Springs, in Australia's Northern Territory, the station collects data for drones and provides early detection of missile launches around the world.

In other words, Pine Gap utilizes spy tracking devices for intelligence gathering. Due to its sensitive nature, there probably won't be any school trips planned to visit this secret facility anytime soon.

Answer: Disneyland

In Disneyland, California, Club 33 is located in New Orleans Square. It can also be found in other Disney theme parks. This club has intrigued me since I first learned about it and I look for that door every time I visit the park. Club 33 was founded by Walt Disney himself, mostly for Disneyland's sponsors.

After Disney died, individual memberships were offered to the club's famous and wealthy clientele and it remains that way.

3. Have you ever heard of Metro-2? It's a secret underground subway with origins dating back to Soviet leader Joseph Stalin. In which Russian city is it located?

Answer: Moscow

The FSB has never admitted the existence of the subway but former Russian leaders Mikhail Gorbachev and Boris Yeltsin have both admitted the existence of not only the subway but interconnecting tunnels that lead out from Moscow to outlying suburbs. Supposedly the purpose of the subway and the tunnels is to provide a safe getaway for Russian leaders in time of war.

There are even bunkers located underneath Moscow State University.

4. Imagine a prison so dangerous it houses the most violent male criminals within its thick concrete walls. Known as ADX Florence Prison, it can be found in which U.S. state?

Answer: Colorado

Also known as "The Alcatraz of the Rockies," some of the prison's inmates include Unabomber Ted Kaczynski, Al-Qaeda operatives Zacarias Moussaoui and Richard Reid, Robert Hanssen, a former FBI agent and spy for the Soviet government, and Juan Garc�a �brego, head of the Gulf Cartel responsible for smuggling cocaine and other drugs from Mexico into the United States.

This tightly-run prison, where inmates spend 23 hours a day in locked cells, provides few accommodations and has a special unit that separates the most violent inmates from prison personnel and other nonviolent offenders.

5. Formerly a flourishing tourist attraction, Varosha is now a ghost town. What was once the city of Famagusta's thriving southern quarter, filled with high-rise buildings, swanky hotels, and pristine beaches, the area is now just filled with dilapidated buildings, overgrown weeds, and trees growing where they shouldn't. Where in the world is Varosha located?

Answer: Cyprus

Overtaken by the Turks in 1974, the area's inhabitants left soon after and Varosha has been under control of the Turkish Armed Forces ever since. This is no place for anyone to be. Not only is it uninhabitable, it's dangerous. No cameras are allowed anywhere near the area and soldiers stationed there are ordered to shoot trespassers.

This is definitely not on my bucket list of places to visit.

6. You would have to be an archeologist to visit this cave in France since it has been closed to the public since 1963. Filled with prehistoric paintings and engravings, can you name it?

Answer: Lascaux Cave

Located in the southwestern region of France known as Dordogne, the cave was discovered in 1940. Sections of the cave include the Great Hall of the Bulls, the Chamber of Felines, and the Chamber of Engravings. Due to the numerous complications arising from the sheer number of tourists viewing the cave prior to 1963, officials were forced to close it and it has remained closed ever since.

7. There are some places in this world you would never want to visit simply because they're much too dangerous. One such place is part of the Andaman Islands in the Bay of Bengal. The inhabitants, known as Sentinelese, have lived without any interference from the outside world for thousands of years. Where do these reclusive people call home?

Answer: North Sentinel Island

The Sentinelese don't want to be bothered and they've let the outside world know it by resorting to violence if approached. Their forested island remains under the sovereignty of India. Communication with the Sentinelese is handled remotely. Little is known about them since no one from the outside world is allowed in. For a number of years now the Indian government has allowed these self-sufficient people to live autonomously, just the way they like it.

8. North of Las Vegas, Nevada, an Air Force installation lies hidden in the desert, surrounded by mountains. Public access is forbidden. Over the years the secret facility has become quite well known by conspiracy theorists. What do they call it?

The Air Force calls the facility Groom Lake or Homey Airport. There are some who believe that Area 51 is used for development of special aircraft and weapons. What goes on in secret is probably underground since rare photos taken of the compound show that it looks like any other military installation. Does Area 51 harbor UFOs? Although there is speculation, no one on the outside knows for certain and the Air Force isn't talking.

9. Imagine how it would feel to rake in billions from producing counterfeit bills and controlled substances, including opiates? There is a highly secretive organization that is purported to do just that. It's called Room 39. In which Asian country is this secret place located?

Answer: North Korea

Formed in the late 1970s by Kim Il-sung, the organization was named for the number of an office, behind the door of which it all began. Although no North Korean official will admit it, there are those who believe that the money gained from selling illegal bills and drugs helps to support Kim Jong-un's nuclear weapons program. Room 39 is located in a building in Pyongyang.

10. It's called Bohemian Grove and it's the ultimate summer camp for men. Only the wealthiest, most powerful and well-connected can join. The camp is large; 2700 acres and located deep within a forest of very tall trees. In which U.S. state is this secret camp located?

Answer: California

This top secret organization dates back to the 1800s. Bohemian Grove is located north of San Francisco in the beautiful Redwoods Forest. Ever since it was created, world dignitaries, U.S. Presidents, and powerful world leaders come together for a two week getaway every July. Of course none of the participants reveal what they actually do for those two weeks, although rumors abound.
