Virgin River is a over one hundred fifty miles long. It is a tributary of the Colorado river. Bullhead City was named after a nearby dam. To enter the Grand Canyon Caverns you take an elevator. You go down roughly 210 feet. The cave has many types of different crystals. The hotel room is one of a kind and it is costly to stay the night.

Bandero Volcano is a collapsed volcano. The terrain in the area is said to be moon-like in appearance. Ice Cave is the remains of an old lava tube. Its temperature never rises above freezing. The ground is covered with a bizarre looking green-blue ice.

The color is from a type of Arctic algae. The Pecos River is over nine hundred miles long and empties into the Rio Grande. Carlsbad Caverns is a massive cave and has many formations.

Guadalupe Peak is the highest point in Texas at 8751 feet. Cave Without a Name is an interesting cave with many formations. It's a pleasant sixty six degrees at all times. Corpus Christi is on the Gulf of Mexico. Its name translated from Latin means Body of Christ.

The Arbuckle Mountains are named after General Matthew Arbuckle. It has beautiful scenery & some waterfalls also. Tulsa is one of the larger cities in Oklahoma. The Arkansas River flows through the city. Alabaster Caverns claims to be the largest natural gypsum cavern in the world that is open for tours.

Cosmic Caverns has two cave lakes in it. It has many formations and some unique wildlife. It has bats, trout and rare blind cave salamanders. Bull Shoals Caverns has huge stalactites and stalagmites in varying colors. The colors come from mineral deposits and algae growth. Little Rock is the capital of Arkansas.

Mammoth Cave is huge. It has over 390 miles of passages explored. It has many formations and offers many different tours. A must see. To take the Lost River Cave tour you need to ride in a boat. From the 1930s through the 1950s the cave's entrance hosted parties and weddings.

It had natural air conditioning and was called the Cavern Night Club. Buffalo Trace Distillery offers tours and free samples. They make mostly bourbon, some whiskies and one vodka variety.

During the Civil War, Confederate soldiers hid from Yankee soldiers for three years. Exhibition Coal Mine tours an old coal mine. A tour guide tells you the history as you travel on a miniature train.

Punxsutawney hosts the annual Groundhog Day ceremony. We've all seen "Groundhog Day", right? Indian Echo Caverns is a limestone cave. It has many formations, including Soda Straw stalactites. It also has pools of water containing cave fish.

Susquehanna River is over four hundred miles long. It drains into the Atlantic Ocean. Secret Caverns were discovered in 1929. A farmer's cow fell to its death at the cave's entrance. It features a roughly one hundred foot tall waterfall. Howes Cavern was discovered by a farmer also.

He noticed his cows would always graze in the same area, in the summer. He went to figure out why and discovered the cave entrance. The tour includes a quarter mile boat ride on an underground lake and a walking portion also.

Manchester has a population of over one hundred thousand people. From 1751 up until 1810 it was called Derryfield. Lake Winnipesaukee is the largest lake in New Hampshire. It covers over sixty nine square miles and is a glacial lake. Lost River Gorge has beautiful scenery. The lantern tour takes place at night. You see by wearing a headlamp.
