Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. This actor was born in Fort Worth, Texas in 1955. He's appeared in many movies and has directed some also. Which actor played an annoying older brother Chet Donnelly, Private Hudson a Colonial Marine and Dad Meiks? One more hint "Game over man, Game over".

Answer: Bill Paxton

The question is a outtake from my quiz titled 'Know Your Role? (The Manly Edition)'. He played Chet Donnelly in "Weird Science", a teen comedy. It tells the story of two unpopular boys who make a girl with their computer. He's a jerk and is temporarily turned into a big sloppy blob. Private Hudson is from the movie "Aliens".

It tells the story of Ripley and her struggle against nasty aliens. The quote in the question is from this movie also. Dad Mieks is from the movie "Frailty". Bill starred and directed it.

It is about a man who believes he's been ordered by God to kill demons. A very thought-provoking film.
2. This actress was born in Scottsdale, Arizona in 1988. Which actress played the characters of Hannah Weaver, a zombie survivor named Wichita (Krista) and Olive Pendergrass?

Answer: Emma Stone

This could have been in my quiz 'Know Your Role? (The Feminine Edition)'.
Emma played Hannah Weaver in "Crazy, Stupid, Love". It tells the story of a man who finds out his wife cheated on him and it's aftermath. Wichita is from "Zombieland". It tells the story of people trying to survive a zombie-Apocalypse. Everyone only goes by the name of where there from. She whispers her real name (Krista) to Columbus. Olive Pendergrass is from the comedy "Easy A". She plays Olive, who gets herself into trouble by having rumors spread about her in school.
3. My friend Blaffo is a caveman. He'll describe something and you'll have to try to figure it out. Blaffo just got done watching a movie released in 2000. He says "Metal bird go boom into big water, man by himself on land, look like me after time, friend with white bouncy". Which movie did Blaffo watch?

Answer: Cast Away

This is an outtake from my quiz 'Caveman Explains All!'.
Cast Away is about a man whose plane (metal bird) crashes into the ocean (big water). He get to land but it's uninhabited. He learns to survive and gets a long beard and wears a loincloth. His friend is a Wilson volleyball (white bouncy) he calls Wilson.
4. Which famous sports television show premiered on ABC in 1970? (Hint: It was on ABC from 1970-2005 and switched to ESPN in 2006.)

Answer: Monday Night Football

This question didn't make the cut in my quiz '1970 - My Own Year: Obscure Edition'.
Monday Night Football features a live N.F.L game played most Mondays. The first game in 1970 was between the New York Jets and Cleveland Browns. The Browns won 31-21.
5. Brad Pitt was born in Shawnee, Oklahoma in 1963. He has starred in some television shows and many movies. He's also has produced some shows and has been involved in a lot of humanitarian causes. In which of the movies, listed below, does he not appear?

Answer: 8MM (1999)

This didn't make the cut in my quiz 'I Get Around Some'.
He is the main character's split personality in "Fight Club". 'They' form an underground fight club together. He is a gypsy in "Snatch". It tells two stories, about boxing and a diamond heist. "Cool World" was a live action/cartoon film. He plays a detective who attempts to solve a murder. He does not appear in "8MM". It was a movie about snuff films starring Nicolas Cage.
6. Bob Clark was born in 1939, he began his career directing horror movies and then switched to comedies. He directed the horror movies "Black Christmas" (1974) and "Children Shouldn't Play with Dead Things" (1973). He also directed the comedy "Porky's" (1982). What other classic Christmas based movie did he direct?

Answer: A Christmas Story (1983)

This is an outtake from my quiz 'Horror Mix be the Fix'.
Hard to believe he directed such a wide array of films. Bob Clark passed away in 2007, resulting from a car accident.
7. Green Day is a punk rock band from California formed in 1987. They've released many popular albums and singles. Which album listed below didn't they release?

Answer: 18th Century Breakdown

This is a outtake from my quiz 'Odd CD Be Free'.
They released "Dookie" (1994), "Nimrod" (1997), "American Idiot" (2004) and "21st Century Breakdown" (2009). They however didn't put out and album called "18th Century Breakdown". That just wouldn't make much sense, would it?
8. Super Bowl XLV was between the Green Bay Packers and Pittsburgh Steelers. It was a very exciting game which Green Bay won. Did Pittsburgh ever have the lead at anytime during the game?

Answer: No

This question didn't make it into my quiz 'Great Food Receptacle 45 (A.K.A Super Bowl XLV)'.
The Packers scored first and went up by seven points. At one point the Packers were up 21-3. The Steelers got close and the final score was 31-25. It was a very exciting and highly-watched program.
9. Sean Penn was born in Santa Monica, California and has appeared in many films. Which one, of those listed below, does he not appear in? He's won the Academy Award and also has directed some films.

Answer: The Wild Life

This was an outtake from the quiz 'I Get Around Some'.
Sean played surfer dude Jeff Spicoli in "Fast Times at Ridgemont High". It tells about high school life in the 1980's. He played a cocky policeman in "Colors". It is about a police unit and their struggle against Los Angeles gang members. "Mystic River" tells the story of three boys and how each of their lives turn out. "The Wild Life" was a "Fast Times at Ridgemont High" wannabe. It even starred Sean Penn's younger brother trying to act like Jeff Spicoli.
10. The Ramones formed around 1974 in New York City. They played fast punk rock and were a very influential to other musicians. One of my favorite songs they did is named after a four legged animal. It's scientific name is Phacochoerus africanus. It comes off their 1984 release, "Too Tough to Die". What is the song called?

Answer: Wart Hog

This is an outtake from my quiz "The Rock Animal".
The record company refused to list lyrics for this song in the album's liner notes because they deemed it obscene. It's sung real fast and is hard to make out the words but it's definitely not politically correct. The band broke-up in 1996. Sadly, the three founding members have since passed away. The other three songs were by The Doors, Black Sabbath and Pink Floyd.
