Charlotte Nilsson's "Take Me to Your Heaven" received 163 points in the Eurovision Song Contest in 1999, earning her first place. Selma Björnsdóttir from Iceland came second with 146 points singing "All out of luck", the German entrants Sürpriz with "Reise Nach Jerusalem" came close third with 140 points and Doris Dragoviæ from Croatia got 118 points and came fourth with her song "Marija Magdalena".

However, Croatia's points were reduced by a third to 79 because the song used synthesised male backing voices.

Her place in fourth was, however, unaffected.
