1. According to Ancient Egyptian tradition, where was the burial place of Osiris?

Answer: Abydos

Abydos used to be one of the most sacred sites in Egypt. Because of the association of Osiris to Abydos it also became an important cemetery site. When the kings started being buried elsewhere, they often had cenotaphs built at Abydos to identify with Osiris.
2. During which period did Alexandria overtake Memphis in importance?

Answer: Ptolemaic Period

Memphis was the first capital of the united land of Egypt. It was the chief cult centre of the god Ptah, and according to Egyptian Mythology it was also the place where Ptah performed the act of creation. Once Alexandria took over from Memphis, its buildings were used as a quarry to build Cairo.
3. Which of the following tombs are NOT situated at Saqqara?

Answer: Siptah

Siptah is buried in the Valley of the Kings. He is located in tomb KV47. Saqqara was the main cemetery site for ancient Memphis and extends for about 6km along the edge of the desert.
