Answer: Respiratory problems

Respiratory problems were caused by the sand and they didn't have a cure for the problems but the coughing was soothed with a mixture of herbs and honey. There were frequent outbreaks of tuberculosis.
2. What was the most popular board game in Ancient Egypt?

Answer: Senet

Senet was played on an elaborately carved board with two people, and the oldest known representation of Senet can be seen on the tomb of Hesy from back in 2686BC. The symbols on the tiles represented good or bad fortune and the winner was the first person to remove all their tiles from the board and pass into the Afterlife.
3. Which king was responsible for uniting Upper and Lower Egypt?

Answer: Menes

King Menes founded the First Dynasty of the Old Kingdom in 3150 BC, he was also was responsible for founding the capital Memphis. The unifying of Upper and Lower Egypt into a single kingdom is the event pointed to by the ancient Egyptians themselves as the beginning of their civilization.

Answer: Abu Simbel

When the reservoir was created by the construction of the Aswan High Dam this threatened to submerge Abu Simbel. A decision was made to relocate the temple to higher ground. Engineers from all over the world moved it brick by brick (all 16,000 of them), a task that took from 1963 until 1969 to complete.

They fought at Kadesh on the Orantes River in what is now Syria. The Battle took place in 1274 BC and it is thought to have been the earliest battle in recorded history for which tactics and formations are known. It was also the largest chariot battle as it involved 5,000-6,000 chariots.

The labourers who worked at the royal tombs were usually paid in grain. We know this because the workers at Deir el Medina kept documents for over 400 years detailing every day life throughout the New Kingdom. One summer they hadn't been paid and had 1.5 Khar of grain taken from them; they downed tools and went on strike until the events had been recorded and sent to Thebes.

Answer: 2.3 million

The Great Pyramid at Giza is the oldest and the the largest out of all three of them. The architects responsible for the construction were Khufu, Imhoptep and Hemium. Construction started in 2584BC and was built to a height of 139m and it is the only one of the wonders of the world that is still standing.
8. Who was responsible for ensuring the King's tomb was built correctly?

Answer: The Vizier

The vizier was a special advisor to the Pharaoh and had been picked by him, his job was to rule the country much like a prime minister in modern society. He also looked after security for the Pharaoh and his family making sure they were safe. A few that we know of are Imhotep, Menkhaf and Ramose.

The Temple of Kom Ombo was built in the Graeco-Roman period and The temple is unique because it is in fact a double temple, dedicated to Sobek the crocodile god, and Horus the falcon-headed god. Each side has its own chapel.
