Answer: Flash, Thunder

If you would hear something and didn't know if it was a German or an American you would yell "Flash". It it yelled "Thunder" back, you would know it was an American. If you heard no reply, you would start shooting. 1st Lt. Frederick T. 'Moose' Heyliger, who took over for Captain Winters in Easy company, was shot by a nervous sentry because he didn't say thunder fast enough.
2. What beach were the four 105 mm cannons firing onto?

Answer: Utah

The 105's were zeroed in on Utah beach giving the landing forces a heck of a time trying to gain ground on the beach.
3. How far away from the beach were the 105 mm guns?

Answer: 3 miles

These guns have an extraordinary range as well as accuracy.
4. What was the name of the farm that the 105's were shooting from?

Answer: Brecourt Manor

The Allied Forces thought they new where every hill, hedge row and building were in Normandy, as well as the German Forces. These 105 mm guns at Brecourt Manor were unknown to the Allies Forces and needed to be taken out.

Answer: 65

After the 33 days in Normandy, Easy and the 101st Airborne returned to England to heal their wounds. Soon they would be off to Holland, and take part in Operation Market Garden.

Hell's Highway stretched from Eindhoven, through Nijmegen, to Arnhem.

Easy Company and the 101st Airborne got the tar beaten out of them at the Bulge. General Patton and his 3rd Army Division came and helped break through the German line. If you ask anybody from Easy or the 101st, they didn't need to be rescued.

600,000 Americans fought gallantly in the Battle of the Bulge, alongside another 140,000+ Allied soldiers.

Answer: Frostbite

The winter that the Allied forces spent in Belgium and Holland, especially Bastogne, was the coldest winter on record for that region. Of course when you don't have proper clothing, frostbite is your worst enemy.

This number is surprisingly low. It is still a shame that they lost 15 men, but it could have been a lot worse.

This is probably the only town where everyone was a Nazi. This was also the home to Hitler's most prized posession: a private retreat high in the Alps called "The Eagles' Nest".
