The great quake of San Francisco created fires that razed more than 4 square miles on April 18th.
3. Texas City, Texas, experienced which disaster in 1947?

For three days beginning on April 16, the French freighter "Grandcamp" burned and and then exploded, killing 516 people and destroying most of the city.
