Answer: St. Petersburg

In 1917 Lenin came to power, and moved the capital of Russia back to Moscow the capital of Russia. After his death Petrograd (as St Petersburg was called at the time) was renamed Leningrad, and stayed that way until 1991, when it was renamed once again, to St. Petersburg.

In 1803, New Orleans, and the Louisiana Territory was transfered from France to the United States. In 2005 the area was devastated by Hurricane Katrina.

Prussia was based on Brandenburg in Germany, and expanded from about 1670 onwards till it included about two-thirds of Germany after the Seven Weeks' War of 1866. (Already in 1815 it extended from the French border in the Rhineland to the Russian border). The German Empire that came into existence in 1871 was based on Prussia.

From 1819 to 1941 Singapore remained under British rule, until Japan took over Singapore. Four years later it returned to Britain, and then became independent in 1965.

It took nearly ten years but they did it! However they did have some help from the U.K., France, and Russia. This, along with World War I were the only modern wars the Greeks won.
