1. Harvey Alexander Logan

Answer: Kid Curry

Harvey Alexander Logan (1867-1904) was also known as Kid Curry who rode with Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid in the gang known as The Wild Bunch. Logan was an outlaw and gunfighter sand is reputed to have killed at least 11 men, nine of them law enforcement officers. He took the name Curry from his friend and mentor, "Flat Nose" George Curry. His three brothers Hank, Lonny and Johnny also took the name Curry. He was captured, then escaped and was killed in a shoot out in 1904 outside Parachute, Colorado.
2. Cornelius Donahue

Answer: Lame Johnny

Cornelius Donohue (1850-1878) was also known as Lame Johnny due to a limp. It is uncertain as to how he acquired the limp but it is presumed to have happened in his childhood when falling from a horse. He was born in Philadelphia but moved to the Black Hills of South Dakota and became a cattle rustler, horse thief and stagecoach robber.

He was arrested at Pine Ridge in 1878 and was shackled and handcuffed to a stagecoach to take him to Rapid City. Before reaching Rapid City he was dragged from the stagecoach and hanged by a posse.
3. George Sutherland Currie

George Sutherland Currie (1871-1900) was also known as George "Flat-Nose" Curry. He was a bank robber and the mentor to "Kid Curry" and also a member of The Wild Bunch gang. He was killed by a sheriff in Grand County, Utah in 1900 for rustling.
4. William Carver

William "News" Carver (1868-1901) was a member of Butch Cassidy's Wild Bunch, He was around in the closing days of the Old West and loved to see his name in the news. He was killed by sheriff deputies in 1901.
5. Robert Leroy Parker

Robert Leroy Parker (1866-1908) was better known as Butch Cassidy. He acquired the name "Butch" when he worked in a butchery in Rock Springs, Wyoming and then added "Cassidy" in honour of his old mentor, cowboy and cattle rustler, Mike Cassidy. He was arrested and served time for horse stealing and then got involved with friends who then formed the gang, "The Wild Bunch".

The gang became notorious bank robbers and eventually he and the Sundance Kid fled to South America where it is believed they were killed in a gun battle with the law in Bolivia.
6. Harry Alonzo Longabaugh

Harry Alonzo Longabaugh (1867-1908) was better known as the Sundance Kid. He was born in Pennsylvania of English and German ancestry and moved west with his family on a covered wagon when he was 15. In 1887 he was jailed for stealing a horse, gun and saddle from a ranch in Sundance, Wyoming.

While in jail he took on the name the Sundance Kid. He was reputed to be fast with a gun and was known as a gunfighter. He was also a member of The Wild Bunch gang and eventually fled to South America with Butch Cassidy where they were reputedly gunned down in a shootout.
7. John Henry Holliday

John Henry "Doc" Holliday (1851-1887) was a dentist, gambler and gunfighter. He earned a degree in dentistry from the Pennsylvania College of Dental Surgery in 1871 and set up his own practice in Atlanta, Georgia. He was diagnosed with tuberculosis and decided to move west. He soon earned the reputation as a gunfighter and while in Texas saved the life of Wyatt Earp. He then joined the Earps in Tombstone, Arizona and was deputised and involved in the Gunfight at the O. K. Corral. He moved to Colorado and due to his illness died in bed in a hotel room in Glenwood Springs, Colorado.
8. Tom Bell

Answer: Outlaw Doc

Tom Bell (1825-1856) saw action as a surgeon in the Mexican-American War (1846-1848). After the war he followed the gold rush to California and spent time as a gambler, doctor and then served time for robbery. While in jail he met Bill Gristy and they formed a gang. "Outlaw Doc" (not to be confused with "Doc" Holliday) is reputed to be the first person to organise a stagecoach robbery in the US.

Unfortunately, the robbery claimed the life of a female passenger, and so outraged were the citizens of the area they organised a posse.

He was found and hanged by the posse.
9. William Tattenbaum

Answer: Russian Bill

William Tattenbaum (1853-1881) was a dandy dresser and claimed to be of Russian noble birth. Therefore, he became known as "Russian Bill". He arrived in Arizona in the 1870s and became friendly with many outlaws at that time including Ike Clanton and Johnny Ringo and got involved in cattle rustling.

He and another outlaw, Sandy King were captured in Shakespeare, New Mexico in October 1881, they were convicted and hung together on the same day.
10. Henry McCarty

Answer: Billy the Kid

Billy the Kid (1859-1881) was born Henry McCarty, however, around 1877 he started to refer to himself as William H. Bonney. After killing a blacksmith in Arizona he became a wanted man and then became involved New Mexico's Lincoln County War. He evaded capture but was hunted down by Sheriff Pat Garrett. Billy the Kid was convicted of the murder of the Lincoln County Sheriff William J. Brady and was sentenced to be hanged.

He escaped and killed two deputies in the process. He was finally shot and killed by Garrett at Fort Sumner, New Mexico on July 14, 1881.

The name of "Billy the Kid" evolved as he was first called "The Kid" due to his slender build and youthfulness. Then once an outlaw and due his name of William this then became "Billy the Kid".
