The earliest reports of these lights date back to the 19th century. Multiple explanations have been put forth, such as ball lightning, aliens, electrical discharge from various mines in the area, and the reflection of traffic in the area.

Another idea that has been put forth is that these lights are a mirage. There are other locations on the planet that have similar lights, such as Hotalen, Norway and Kinka, Japan.

That statement is completely false. The Taos Hum is a buzzing sound that can be heard near the town of Taos, New Mexico. The sound is often compared to that of a distant diesel engine. Although this sound is easily heard by the naked ear, many different types of sound detection devices are unable to pick up the noise at all. And despite years of investigation by differing agencies, no one has figured out what the sound is, where it originates, nor how it is being created.

The Phaistos Disc was found by Italian archeologist Luigi Pernier and is believed to be the work of the Minoan civilization. It is not related to any other artifacts related to the Minoans and there are no other examples of this type of writing that have been found.

The inscriptions are believed to include a prayer and possibly a geometric theorem for a calendar. Several attempts have been made to decipher this disc, and there is no scientific consensus that any of them are correct. The disc has been dated to about 1700 B.C. which is curious because there was another script that was in use at that time.

Rongorongo is a mysterious system of glyph writing found on a variety of artifacts on Easter Island. They are thought to be one of the few independent inventions of writing found in human history. This mysterious script was first mentioned in the mid 19th century.

It is believed to be written left to right and then from right to left on the next line. Rongorongo has about 120 symbols many of which have variations. The glyphs remain undeciphered despite numerous attempts to decode them. The true messages, which may actually contain hints about the mysterious collapse of the Easter Island civilization, may never be known.

The "Sailing Stones" are found in the a dry lakebed in Death Valley known as the "Racetrack". Stones as large as 700 pounds mysteriously slide across the flat lake bed without any discernible external force. These stones do not follow a predictable path and are known to change directions abruptly.

Theories have been advance that wind and ice are involved and ongoing studies of the area have gone on for almost a century.

Foo Fighters was the name given to the craft seen by hundreds of World War II pilots.
