Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. This game has a door in the center and behind it lie pictures of different boys.

Answer: Mystery Date

Mystery Date was one of my pre-teen favorites. You traveled the board gathering cards until you could open the door. If you were dressed appropriately for your date's outfit, you won.
2. My Monopoly game has all the same colored property squares as the original version, but mine has a train station called Marylebone. Where (out of the following choices) did I buy this edition?

Answer: Britain

British Monopoly is my favorite version, I own 6. Whenever we land on Trafalgar Square, someone says, "Welcome to Trafalgar Square, all the pigeons you can eat."
3. This one fell apart when I took it down and now I have to try to fit all the pieces back in. Trouble is, they only fit a few ways and it may take some time. When it is played, you need to build your city and fit your pieces in while preventing the opponent from doing the same.

Answer: Cathedral

I saw a photo of this game in the background at MacMillan Toys in the movie "Big".
4. This game has a horsetrack and is played by moving colored horses around by the deal of the cards. You place a bet on the horse you like, if it wins, you collect.

Answer: First Past the Post

Another game I picked up in London, and replaced at ebay. We have fun naming the horses.
5. In this game I find lots of famous artworks and value cards. Once they are matched up we can auction them off.

Answer: Masterpiece

I learned most of what I know about art from this game. It was very educational.
6. This game has a timer that looks like a clapper board and word cards and is played like charades.

Answer: Guesstures

I found this one to be a great party game.
7. 'Cranium' also uses charades but also sculpting, drawing, trivia and whistling to get around the board.

Answer: True

This was a bunch of fun. OK, you try sculpting a brick and see if your team guesses it. The game comes with everything you need and it is a real blast.
8. This trivia game really got me laughing in the store so I bought it. The title says it all. The game has loads of trivia, some of it is true but some is not. This game is called...

Answer: Fact or Crap

I was actually inventing this when I ran across it last Christmas. Play with a group or just a few friends, it is too funny.
9. Music is the name of the play in this game. You get a word and then you and the opposing team have to use it in a real song. The hard part is thinking of another song while the other team is singing.

Answer: Encore

We played this more openly at Girl Scouts and we called it a singdown. We'd pick a topic and sing as many songs as we could within the topic without duplicating any other team.
10. I also found the most popular game in America.

Answer: Monopoly

Scrabble is a close second.
Thanks for playing!
