1. In the standard 4X4 arrangement, what is the minimum number of letters for an acceptable word?

Answer: 3

In some 5X5 board arrangements the minimum is four letters. There are over 100 acceptable three letter words in Boggle.
2. If two competing players both list the same word, how many points do they each get for that word?

Answer: 0

This feature encourages players to find more difficult words. However, in games with greater than two players, many obscure words are likely to be found by multiple players.
3. How many points is a five letter word worth in the standard Boggle game?

Answer: 2

The point values are as follows: 3-4 letters = 1 point, 5 letters = 2 points, 6 letters = 3 points, 7 letters = 5 points, 8+ letters = 11 points.
4. Of the following choices, which is an acceptable Boggle word play?

Answer: Making a plural form of a noun.

Plurals are a very easy way to find words and score points in Boggle. The same letter may be used in a word if it is on a different tile. Proper nouns and two letter words are not acceptable word plays.

Answer: 1972

At its inception Boggle was designed to be portable, easy to learn, and incredibly addicting. I feel it succeeds on all levels.

Miyamoto is a mastermind behind many Nintendo games, Butts was the inventor of Scrabble, and Disney founded an entertainment company.
7. How many minutes are allowed per round in a standard Boggle game

Answer: 3

Three minutes is the official time as per the rules, but as with all games, players can agree to amend the rules to their liking.
8. Find the highest scoring word in the following Boggle formation: S A H J T R I E O V N D U B W I

9. How many points are deducted from a player's score if he/she plays an invalid word?

Answer: 0

No points are lost if your word is not valid. This feature enables players to play quickly and not get penalized for making a mistake or trying a new word combination.

Answer: 5

The following words can be made: eat, eta, ate, tae, tea.
