If you ask for a torta in Mexico you will get a snack. Tortas ahogadas are made with a piece of bread, beef, and they're "drowned" in chile pasilla sauce. That's how it got its name. The bread and the meat are soaked in a very spicy sauce.

Mole is, according to the legend, another of Mexican traditional meals that we owe to Catholic nuns. But as usual with legends there are many versions of them. Some say that the nuns learned the secrets from the indigenous people in Mexico, or that the angels inspired the recipe. Whatever the case may be, we have one of the most typical dishes in Mexican food.

Mole is often served at traditional weddings, (especially in small towns) at a wedding banquet.
9. This black mushroom grows on ears of corn. In many places it is destroyed, but in Mexico it is considered a delicacy. What is it?
