Hawaiian pizza (which actually was developed in Canada) is very popular in Australia, and this pizzeria presents it in its most basic form. Sometimes bacon is added, and a popular extra topping in the mix is capsicum (mild green pepper). Personally, I don't think pineapple should ever go anywhere near a pizza, but I definitely seem to be in the minority.

In Australia, these meaty pizzas usually have BBQ sauce (basically tomato paste, with brown sugar for sweetness and vinegar for tang) either replacing the tomato sauce base, or drizzled over the top. Streaky bacon refers to bacon rashers with a mixture of fat and meat, usually cut from the pig's belly, what I grew up just calling bacon in the USA.

Australian pizza makers have some strange ideas about what American pizza is, but this one can be worked by elimination, since its ingredients are pretty nondescript. Personally, I think either pepperoni or mushroom, rather than both, is a better choice.

Some places make an American pizza which is basically their vegetarian with sliced salami added - you can choose between mild and the hotter pepperoni.

The name of this one should have helped you match it with the topping list that had exactly three vegetables. Baby spinach leaves have recently become a popular pizza ingredient - maybe it's because you can pretend you're having leafy green vegetables with your fast food. Red onion is not actually red - it has a purple-pink outer surface with white inner flesh.

It is used both for its color and for its mild taste.

Tandoori spices is the clue here - tandoori chicken comes from India. Chicken pieces are marinated in a mixture of yoghurt and spices before being cooked in the clay oven known as a tandoor. A typical tandoori marinade would include garlic, ginger, onion, cayenne pepper, and garam masala (a spice mixture of variable ingredients, often including some or all of: black pepper, cloves, cinnamon, mace, cardamom, coriander seed and cumin). Tandoori chicken has a characteristic bright pink color. The sauce that is drizzled over the top is a combination of fresh mint and fresh coriander (cilantro) leaves pureed with yoghurt.

With both jalapenos and chili flakes, not to mention the hot salami, this pizza certainly has some capsaicin kick! The slight anise flavour from the pork & fennel sausage slices adds an interesting extra dimension to the flavour.

Fajitas are commonly featured in Australian restaurants that offer Mexican food, most of which should be more accurately called Tex-Mex. They feature strips of beef (or other meat), cooked with onions and capsicum in a spicy sauce which you then wrap in a tortilla (usually wheat) along with accompaniments such as you might add to a taco: lettuce, cheese, olives, guacamole, pico de gallo, salsa, sour cream.

The pizza version echoes some of those flavours, although I am mystified by the use of Parmesan cheese rather than a grated tasty cheddar.
