1. Piccolo

Usually for serving single glasses of champagne, also known as a split. Holds 187mL or one quarter of a standard bottle.
2. Demi

Holds two glasses of wine, half a standard size bottle or 375mL.
3. Standard

Universal bottle size for most wines around the world. It contains 750mL or 5 glasses. Most wines were traditionally packed in one dozen bottle cartons, but due to work safety laws six bottle cartons are becoming more common.
4. Magnum

Double the standard bottle at 1.5 litres. You will mainly see these being sprayed on the podium of Formula One races.
5. Double Magnum

Two magnums or four standard bottles, that's twenty glasses of wine.
6. Jeroboam

Six standard bottles or 4.5Lt, one gallon on the imperial scale. Named for the first king of northern Israel.
7. Methuselah

Eight standard bottles or four magnums, also called an Imperial. Named after the long lived Methuselah, grandfather of Noah.
8. Salmanazar

Twelve standard bottles or nine litres, equivalent to sixty glasses. Named after Shalmaneser an ancient Assyrian king.
9. Balthazar

Sixteen standard bottles or 12 litres of wine. Named after Balthazar, one of the three wise men who brought gifts to the baby Jesus (Balthazar's gift was myrrh).
10. Nebuchadnezzar

Twenty standard bottles or a whopping 15 litres(100 glasses!). Due to its large size and weight of almost 40kg, a specially built cradle is used for pouring. Named for the warrior king of Babylon (605-562BC).
