Answer: Garret

Garnet is the correct spelling; a garret is an attic.
2. The melody was played softly on a boskier. Is this sentence correct?

Answer: No

This should read bouzouki, a long necked Greek instrument. Boskier is a middle English word meaning having many shrubs.
3. Which one of these would hopefully not appear on a dance programme at the ballet school?

Answer: Garrotte

It should read gavotte. Garrotte is death by strangulation.
4. 'Gunfight at the OK Coral' was a great movie. Is this correct?

Answer: No

Corral with two Rs. It would not be the same underwater.
5. You cannot put your name on one of these.

Answer: Rooster

Ever try putting your name on a rooster? They are very contrary critters. It's much easier on a roster.
6. Analysts compiled annals in the Middle Ages.

Answer: False

Annalists compile annals.
7. My spelling is so poor I am in a?

Answer: Pique

This mood comes usually from a perceived loss of face, according to the dictionary. In reality, I'm far too positive a person to be in such a state.

I had to look that up! I got it mixed with cubical, which of course comes from cube.
